Types of Air Heaters

1. Compact & Inline Air Heaters

Designed for targeted, efficient heat delivery, these units are ideal for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) machinery and localized applications.

  • Open-Coil Sheathed Heaters: Featuring high-temperature resistance wire isolated within stainless steel sheaths, these heaters pass air directly over the element for maximum heat transfer efficiency. Reaching up to 1000°F, they are optimized for tasks like plastic welding, heat staking, laminating, and heat sealing.

    • Manufacturing Processes: Packaging & Assembly Line Manufacturing (e.g., shrink-wrapping labels onto plastic bottles on high-speed conveyors, sealing medical blister packs, and heat-staking automotive plastic trim).

  • Threaded Inline Heaters: Built for higher-pressure configurations and higher inlet temperatures, these durable inline heaters offer threaded connections and integrated thermocouples to ensure precise closed-loop monitoring.

    • Manufacturing Processes: Automated Assembly & Pneumatic Systems (e.g., preheating compressed air lines for pneumatic equipment, localized drying in automated electronics assembly, and spot-drying adhesive bonds).

  • Ultra-Compact "Mini" Heaters: Stripped down to heating tube diameters as small as 15 mm, these micro-heaters operate safely with compressed air (up to 2 bar / 30 psi) for ultimate pinpoint accuracy.

    • Manufacturing Processes: Precision Electronics & Micro-Assembly (e.g., hot air riveting of delicate circuit boards, precision texturing/forming of medical catheters, and soldering micro-components).

2. Medium to High-Capacity Process Air Heaters
For larger, continuous industrial operations requiring extensive airflow and higher kilowatt power ranges, we offer advanced process heating technologies:

  • Serpentine Technology Heaters: Utilizing an open-coil serpentine element path, these units maximize surface area within an ultra-compact footprint. This design allows for exceptionally fast heat-up ramp rates, supporting temperatures from 1400°F to 1652°F.

    • Manufacturing Processes: High-Speed Thermal Processing (e.g., sterilizing pharmaceutical vials, rapidly flash-drying textile inks, and curing industrial coatings on automated lines).

  • Triple-Pass Housing Heaters: These configurations utilize a safe triple-pass casing design to minimize external heat loss and protect surrounding components, while featuring field-replaceable heating elements for simplified maintenance.

    • Manufacturing Processes: Heavy Equipment & Factory Machinery (e.g., integrated heating modules inside large OEM industrial ovens, conveyorized parts drying, and heat-treating metal components).

3. Integrated Hot Air Blowers

For standalone and benchtop processes that require an all-in-one configuration:

  • All-In-One Thermal Tools: These systems combine a high-capacity heating element, a rugged brushless blower motor, and a built-in temperature controller into a single unit.

    • Manufacturing Processes: Standalone Operations & Secondary Processing (e.g., standalone de-burring stations for molded plastic parts, manual or semi-automated shrink-bundling of pallets, and hand-operated plastic geomembrane welding for containment liners).
